Kimberly Selden is a dynamic storyteller, thought leader, and entrepreneur with a wide-ranging background that encompasses television and live event production, racial and social justice advocacy, politics, media, sports, and a deep connection to the African Diaspora.
In 2022, Kimberly embarked on a transformative journey by co-founding Black Girls Tennis Club, an initiative dedicated to expanding access to tennis for Black women and girls. Her commitment to service and community has been a constant throughout her life, and one of her most profound experiences involved collaborating with the community in Niger, West Africa, to develop and establish a radio and television station. Witnessing the profound impact of this multi-faceted project inspired Kimberly to launch the Global Media Project. Through this venture, she not only successfully hosted media clinics across the diaspora but also empowered and trained others to do the same, amplifying the power of media for positive change.
Kimberly's journey in politics and social justice commenced on the Hillary for America campaign in 2016, where she played a pivotal role as a content producer. Subsequently, she lent her expertise to numerous organizations, including Planned Parenthood, Emily's List, Emerge, NDWA, FBT, and UNCF. Most recently, she contributed her creative talents as the Creative Director for strategic projects within the Paid Media team for the Kamala for President campaign in 2024 and similarly for the Biden campaign in 2020, making significant strides in advancing important causes and initiatives.
Currently, Kimberly is based in the vibrant creative hub of Los Angeles, CA, where she channels her passion into personal creative endeavors while scaling BGTC nationwide. Before her move to California, she made significant contributions as part of Google's Thought Leadership Team, working on influential projects such as Variety Power of Women, Google Zeitgeist, ADColor, Something in the Water, and various internal events, leaving an indelible mark on the Influencer Lab.
